So, it's been one of those days. You know, where you stay in your pajamas all day, never leave the house, and watch movies and cook soup. Basically, a good day. The day before I start my five on at work.
So, I am currently playing on the computer and watching While You Were Sleeping, which is basically one of my favorite movies of all time. As I was playing around, I got to thinking about things of political nature. That is dangerous, as I am slightly opinionated and a little on the stubborn side to say the least. I believe the Bible is God's Holy Word, and I use the Bible to guide me in my decisions, which includes my political views. I just don't understand how some people, namely those who claim Christ, support political views and/or candidates who are in favor of things that Christ preaches against. I can remember when I was at USM and surrounded either by extreme liberals or closet conservatives. This meant that I was the one singled out. I was the weird Christian who, gasp!, is pro-life. Oh the horror!! To believe in the sanctity of life!!! I can remember being so disappointed in some classmates who wouldn't stand up and say they believed the same way. Today, there is still disappointment. It seems that more and more Christians are separating their Christian views from their political ones if their Christian views coincide with their own every day comforts. I am not saying I am free from sin or I am better than these people I speak of. I am a sinner, and I am accountable for my own actions and decisions. Just wanted to clear that up before I am classified as "self-righteous." So, to continue...I'm realizing that life simply doesn't get any easier, people will disappoint (even some you might have even looked up to at one point), and apparently it's not cool to have morals. I can remember in high school hoping one day to be more cool, but I guess I can nix that idea...
